Musical Con is on the lookout for the West End's next big star. To apply applicants will need to audition in advance, with heats taking place during the convention, and the grand finale taking place on the Main Stage in front of a panel of star and expert judges. The winner will receive some incredible prizes, and be crowned Star of Musical Con 2023!
Any age is permitted to enter.
All audition songs MUST be from a musical and must be accompanied by an instrumental backing track no longer than 2 minutes in length.
All videos must be uploaded to Instagram (IGTV) or Youtube. You will then be asked to send a link to the video so we can view your audition. We will request this when you submit your application form.
This is a solo competition so only solo acts are able to be submitted.
All submissions must be in by September 22nd.
The contest will be held on Saturday 21 October.
You must have tickets to Musical Con 2023 to enter the competition.
Audition self tape guidelines:
Please stand in front of a plain clear background.
Please ensure the device you are playing your accompaniment from is not too close to the device you are using to record your self tape, so our judges can hear your voice clearly.
Please choose a song that shows your ability and range.
All songs performed must be from a Musical.
Please ensure you copy and paste the link for us to view your audition in the application form.
If you are successful you will be invited to attend a heat round at the convention. Don't forgot that if you are not successful this year there's always next year and you are all stars in our eyes!
