Take centre stage in our Cosplay competition.

Whether you're inspired by The Phantom Of The Opera, Six, Les Miz, Cats, Mary Poppins or Heathers this is your chance to shine!

How it works:

Register: Please fill in the entry form below to register. There are a limited number of slots available and applications will be considered on a first come first served basis.
Check in: On Sunday 20th all contestants will be asked to check in at an allocated time and have their photo taken by a member of our team. Finalists will be chosen and invited to appear at the live Grand Finale later that afternoon on our Main Stage.
Grand Finale: All contestants are invited to show off their cosplay on the Main Stage at our Masquerade Parade. After the parade our finalists will be presented and asked about their design process and the winner will be chosen by a panel of stars and industry professionals.

Please provide a reference photo for your design so we can see where your inspiration has come from. Each contestant will be judged on how accurate they get they’re finished costume to the the reference photo.

Accessibility

The Masquerade Parade will involve crossing the Main Stage to display and show off your amazing designs. Please let us know if you have any access requirements.

Cosplay Rules

1. Cosplay contestants must have some craftsmanship in the overall process of their costume design. Help can be provided from a close friend or family member. Any commissioned work should make up a small portion of the costume.

2. For your entry to be valid all costumes MUST be inspired and based on a character from a musical. If your costume is especially large or you need help to be able to move you must state this when submitting your form. Unfortunately no friends or family will be able to join you on stage or back stage.

3. If you have any elaborate or technical features i.e. lights or inflating aspect to your costume design, the power for this must be part of your costume and included within the design.

4. Group entry is permitted. If you and a group of your fellow musical loving friends wish to enter as a group please only submit ONE entry application. Please do not submit multiple entries as these will not be valid.

I confirm that I have read the rules and will adhere to Musical Con's Cosplay guidelines and I consent to the filming, audio recording and photography of any my appearances and to these being used in connection with Musical Con including but not limited to it's broadcast, advertising and promotion.I confirm that I have purchased a weekend or Sunday ticket to attend MusicalCon 2023 to enter. Cosplay is encouraged and welcomed at MusicalCon however, it is essential for attendees to observe these restrictions. Please note that any props with blades, functioning weapons ie replica guns, bats or any other kind of prop or item that could be deemed as a weapon are all strictly forbidden.
